This pendant is hand formed using the ancient technique of repousse in which a flat piece of sterling silver is given 3 dimensional form by laboriously working it with tiny punches on the surface of a bowl filled with pine pitch.
This pendant is 2 inches in diameter and has a 10mm lapis cabuchon bezel set in the center. I made this pendant while demonstrating repousse as a featured demonstrator at the 100 American Craftsmen show at the Kenan Center in Lockport NY.
